It is not everyday you have the Rugby World Cup on your doorstep. So this Friday at midday (NZST) lets show our All Blacks – WE SUPPORT THEM !!! We will be doing a Haka on Twitter, known as the ‘Twaka’ and we hope YOU will join us.
Starting Friday 9th at Midday (NZST) we will post the lead verse of the Haka on Twitter from our @Toreawines account.
Lead Post – #Twaka “Ringa pakia – Uma tiraha – Turi whatia – Hope whai ake – Waewae takahia – kia kino”
Once you see this post everyone joins in with the three Haka verses (three independent tweets)
1) #Twaka “Ka mate! Ka mate! – Ka ora! Ka ora! – Ka mate! Ka mate! – Ka ora! Ka ora!”
2) #Twaka “Tenei Te Tangata Puhuru huru – Nana nei tiki mai – Whakawhiti te ra”
3) #Twaka “A upane ka upane – Upane, Kaupane – Whiti te ra”
It is always inspiring to see supporters from all around the world participate. The All Blacks have a huge challenge ahead of them – So grab a few of your mates and lets show our support this Friday on Twitter.
We have a saying at Torea “Ka whati te tai, Ka pao te Torea” meaning: “As the tide recedes the oystercatcher strikes.”
Go the All Blacks !!!
Cheers
Stuart

The Twaka has been around for a couple of years now. It started in 2009 during Maori Language week. Since then it has been supporting the All Blacks pre game. For more information you can read about it here.

The #TWAKA can get a little frenetic to keep up with, but it is sure a great way to create some Black noise on the web!
